Headwaters Plans for Minot, ND Relief Efforts
Volunteers will take their first trip to Minot, ND after the historical flooding in June and July this year.
Considered to be the worst in over 100 years, this flood has left an estimated 8,000 to 9,000 people homeless. With the first snow expected by the end of October, residents are rushed to clean out wet homes and find warm housing for the harsh winter.
Headwaters is working with All Hands Volunteers [1], an international disaster response volunteer organization, to gut and clean flooded homes. The group will be there September 13th through the 15th with the potential for subsequent trips.
